Career Law Enforcement Official and New York Businessman Join SCP Advisory Board Member
Stop Child Predators (SCP) is excited to welcome our two newest advisory board members, Timothy Hughes, Senior Inspector for the United States Marshals Service, and Joseph Kakaty, Chief Marketing Officer for College Loan Corporation. We had the opportunity to sit down with Tim and Joe to talk about why they chose to be involved with SCP.
Tim told us he's most impressed by SCP's ability to bring together policy experts, law enforcement officers and victims' family members to help enact laws that save children's lives.
"SCP's strongest tool is coordinating the efforts of people and organizations dedicated to passing effective legislation and assuring that the legislation has the proper funding to put and keep child predators in jail," Tim said.
Joe had similar praise. He believes that passing laws like Jessica's Law is vital to protecting kids everywhere, including his home state of New York.
"As a dad and a New Yorker, I'm appalled at the lack of attention child safety laws are given in my home state. When SCP approached me about getting more involved in passing tough measures for crimes against children, I gladly accepted the challenge to help make New York the 45th state to pass Jessica's Law."
